The main complex of the farm holidays "I Frati" is "Il Convento" (The Convent). It was founded in the XV century by the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor and it used to be one of the most important religious centres of the Trasimeno area.
It is located on a wooded hill beneath the Monte Pietrarvella, from which it is possible to admire the wonderful view of Trasimeno Lake and the surrounding mountains, with a glimpse between the old medieval villages of Paciano (1,5 km away) and Panicale. Il Convento is placed right in the middle of a wood land of 18-20 ha, of which about a square mile was surrounded by a boundary wall to limit the property of the Order.
The complex was left abandoned during the Napoleonic period and then inhabited by farmers which would use it as a shed.
Restoration of the structure was completed in 2004, bringing out the rebuilt part and leaving unaltered the old stone structure. This complex is preserved as a whole by the Ministry of the Artistic and Cultural Heritage.

The complex comprises seven sumptuously furnished flats, each one bearing the name of a friar. They are reached via an internal lift, and there are big parking lots, barbecues and a beautiful park through which one can walk along, taking the same famous routes of the friars.

Besides the seven apartments in the main structure, other lodging options are available in the farm holidays “I Frati”. The main building (Il Convento) is surrounded by four farmhouses in the Umbrian countryside, on the hills near the town of Paciano. It is possible to rent a farmhouse or just a single apartment: Casa Cappuccini, Casaglia, Torrione
